Love Healing with Rose Quartz

Today’s Episode is about energy healing specifically Love Healing using Rose Quartz.
The other day I was walking with a colleague during lunchtime as part of our normal routine and we passed by a crystal shop.
Actually, the shop had been there for a while, and I had walked by it several times curiously, but never took the time to actually stop in.
This time, the energy was so strong it was actually pulled me into the shop.  I found out by the end of my visit that this shop was actually a pop up shop, which would only be there until the end of the month.
Having heard about this crystal called Rose Quartz, I asked the shop owner to direct me to where I could find it.
The one thing I did know about crystals is that there is an energy that draws you to it. I picked up one, then another and another, but kept coming back to a particular one that I found myself not wanting to let go of.   I knew that was the one.
Now I don’t have a ton of experience with crystal energy work, but I have heard a lot of positive things about it, especially when it comes to meditation in conjunction with crystals.
I also knew that crystals were often used for healing
The crystal I was looking for, Rose quartz is often called the "Love Stone”.
I chuckled upon reading more about the stone because God only knows that I need a healthy dose of Love in my life right now!
This Rose quartz is the stone of Unconditional Love!
Its main focus is opening the Heart Chakra. (We will do an episode later which will discuss chakras)
This Rose Quartz is the stone for every time of Love,
·         Self- Love
·         Family
·         Platonic
·         Romantic
·         And Unconditional (Agape)
In the book I co-authored, “Conversations with Love” We actually break out the differently types of Love poetically, if you aren’t familiar with the different forms of Love and if you are, you can purchase it on Amazon, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Excuse my shameless plug, but I thought it was most appropriate.
Anyway, Rose Quartz has an extremely high and strong energy that can enhance love in just about any given situation.
In addition to enhancing love, the Rose Quartz
·         Helps lower stress
·         Eases anxiety
·         has the ability to soothe those around it
·         can be used to raise self-esteem and give a stronger sense of self-worth
·         helps balance emotions
·         brings peace and calm

Overall the energy of the Rose Quartz has an energy of Forgiveness, Tolerance, and Compassion that also enables us to see the good in ourselves as well as others.
On the spiritual realm:
The Rose Quartz is used to attract Love, and for Love spells and Charms.
It is helpful for dream recall and dream work.
It is even used to gently ease the transition in dying by opening up the energy that comes from the unconditional love of the divine.


So of course I walked of out the store with small to medium sized Rose Crystal that has been attached to me ever since, but before I left doing so I asked what is most best methods of benefitting from the properties of the stone?
The answer was this:
Wear them close to your body, in the form of a ring, bracelet, necklace, or on your person.
That way the energy can protect and heal your body.
Some people just keep them in their bag or purse and carry it around with them that way.
It was even suggested that I can put it next to my bed on a nightstand or inside of my pillow.
It can also be placed on a shrine and used in conjunction with your meditative practice for further enhancement.
So what I did was I put it in a satchel and placed it in my bra, directly over my heart.  I can say I have felt a great sense of calm since having it there.
So there you have it,
Love and Healing with Rose Quartz! Because we all could use a little more love!
As for me… Well I am also using my Rose Quartz in my home as a source of energy and… Well… I’ll update you in a later episode as to what effect it has had.  I’m still testing it out and recording my observations.

Are You Going to Quit Smoking for 2012?

As a former smoker for many years, I know how difficult it is to finally kick the habit for good!  So please don't use the excuse of "I Can't Quit".  What worked for me which is something that may not necessarily work for everyone was to do it "cold turkey". To continue to smoke at all only seemed to spiral me back into the same pattern of smoking the same number of cigarettes that I swore to stop smoking to begin with.  Recent studies show that most ex-smokers have also chosen this method of quitting as well. What's in 2014?

New Years Day has passed and we are 4 days into 2014. I couldn't allow an entire week of the new year to slip away without at least posting my thoughts about the year we have left behind and the year we have just entered into. As I sit here trying to recover from a mild strain of the stomach flu, I am doing some reflecting. I can testify that for me 2013 was the most amazing year.  God showed up in ways that I could never even imagined and I felt his presence throughout my 365 day journey. It started with the passing of my father, whom I later discovered had suffered from numerous strokes and Alzheimer's disease, to meeting my 8 siblings of whom I am the eldest, as well as my father's entire side of the family, for the very first time after 43 years.
