This week's focus is on Turmeric which is arguably the most powerful herb on the planet at fighting and potentially reversing disease.

It has so many advanced healing properties that there have been 6,235 peer-reviewed articles published proving the benefits of turmeric and its main active ingredient Curcumin.

For your benefit I have decided to include some delicious Tumeric recipes that will help you get the most benefit out of it's properties.

Turmeric Eggs Recipe
Total Time: 25 minutes
Serves: 1–2
INGREDIENTS:
4 eggs
2 ounces raw cheese, shredded
3 tablespoons ghee
½ cup red onions, chopped
8 green onions, chopped
1 cup yellow peppers, chopped
6 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon thyme
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon basil
2 tablespoons turmeric
DIRECTIONS:

Sauté onions, green onions and garlic in pan with ghee over medium-low heat for 10 minutes.
Add in eggs, cheese and herbs.
Cook for 10 minutes, stirring continuously and add in turmeric.

Curried Carrot Soup Recipe
Total Time: 45 minutes
Serves: 4-6
INGREDIENTS:
4 tbsp coconut oil, melted
6 cups chicken broth
5 cups of peeled carrots, thinly sliced into rounds
2 cups fresh chopped onions
2 teaspoons curry
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1 teaspoon coriander seeds, powder
¾ tsp yellow mustard seeds, powdered
2 teaspoons lime peel, finely grated
3 teaspoons fresh lime juice
sea salt and black pepper to taste
kefir or goats milk yogurt for garnish
DIRECTIONS:

Melt coconut oil over medium heat in soup pot
Add coriander, mustard seed powder, curry powder and ginger powder. Stir for a minute.
Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper
Add onions and sauté until soft
Add Chicken broth and sliced carrots and cook on medium low heat for about 30 mins
Puree in blender until smooth, then return to pot.
Stir in lime juice and season with more sea salt and pepper to taste.
Serve garnished with Yogurt and Parsley

Turmeric Tea Recipe
Total Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 2
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup water
1 tablespoon ghee
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon turmeric (powder or grated root)
DIRECTIONS:

Pour coconut milk and water into the saucepan and warm for 2 minutes.
Add in butter, raw honey and turmeric powder for another 2 minutes.

Stir and pour into glasses.
